$2.5 Indian Head Gold Quarter Eagle Coin

We recently liquidated $2.5 Indian Gold Indian Quarter Collection! Designed by Bela Lyon Pratt. The $2.5 Indian is without a doubt one of the rarest gold coins ever minted in the United States. Considered a major innovation in American coinage, the designs were incuse or inset in the surface, meaning the design was engraved in the coin. Before the Quarter Indian, coins like this never circulated in the United States.
